Disasters are a very real incident that can happen anywhere in the world at anytime. It seems as through some form of disaster are occurring more frequently. Experiencing a disaster is traumatic enough, but you are at a greater disadvantage if you are unprepared.When disaster strikes it’s too late and we are depending upon someone else for our vital necessaries.

FEMA(Federal Emergency Management Agency) provides a step-by-step guides on disaster preparedness which covers how to develop and maintain an emergency communications plan and the importance of having a disaster supply kit.

Emergency disaster kits maybe personally prepared or purchased pre-assembled.  The effects of an emergency may occur from hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, snow storms or other natural disasters so therefore its prudent to make advance preparations. An emergency kit should have enough food to last for a minimum of ‘3’ days.
